Deep Sea / Deep Drop Rig. Blueeye, Gemfish, Harpuka

Blue Eye Cod, Gemfish, Deep Sea Rig for Ooglies!! I designed this rig for the days when the Tuna and Marlin off Sydney aren't about. It's made to clip straight onto the snap swivel on your game rod. I fish this rig on my 50w at Browns Mountain and the Canyons down South off Wollongong chasing BlueEye Cod, Gemfish and other deep sea goodies. It can soon turn a poor days fishing into a good one when you haul 15 kilo's of some of the best eating fish in the sea to the surface. On a 50w it takes about 10-15 minutes to retrieve the average Blueeye in 1000 feet of water, it'll hurt your arms a little but it's worth the pain. For you lazy fisherman, use a gimbal and kidney harness... makes it soooo easy. This rig is made from 350lb Jap Grade Mono Leader, 3 x Stainless Steel 14/0 Tuna Circle Hooks and Ultra Glow Squid. It will easily handle a 15-20kg fish. No sinkers are supplied but generally two big snapper sinkers or a chunk or scrap steel will do the trick.
